We are all smiles these days after the fresh dump of snow. Skied in knee deep powder yesterday, in the resort of Hlíðarfjall. And the forecast at belgingur.is is looking promising for another dump tonight :o)

And the winner in the: name the ice route competition is..........Friðjón Þorleifsson....but we are only using the first part of his suggestion, ''IceSave'' and adding our own second half ''is not safe'' and the price for the winning name is...........two months of heli skiing and ski touring in Iceland this spring...congratulations Friðjón we look forward to having you over.

 Climbed a new route yesterday in Múlinn with young gun Maggi Smári, we are having some trouble finding a good name for the thing and are open to all suggestions.......So fire a way, for there is a grand prize for the winning name... The theme for names in this climbing area is oceangoing /fisherman /sailing /pirate......Icelandic or english.....




The photo is actually from early Jan when things where a lot thicker and massive. Yesterday the line on the left (unclimbed) was not formed. The thing is about 70m high WI 4+. Another god line in this incredible ice climbing area
