Skiing
 Greetings dear friends, partners and fellow mountaineers This spring update from the land of fire and ice brings you interesting news and might even result in your last minute Icelandic getaway.......After heli ski guiding for my good friends at Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing in Revelstoke BC this winter, I am now back on the Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland, where we are experiencing the best spring ski season in seven years and will for sure be skiing well into the summer. If you are having a hard time believing, just check out this little video that I threw together from our last couple of ski touring trips. Now the big news from Iceland is obviously the fact that a country that was last year one of the  most expensive places on the planet to visit is now virtually a bargain with our great little
Monopoly currency the ISK loosing more and more value as the weeks go by. To you my friend, this means for example that our Arctic Heli Ski program that runs this May on the Troll Peninsula is now the cheapest Heli ski option available in the civilized
world........but this will only last this season since next year everybody on this great rock we call Iceland will be pricing in Euros or Dollars, so its now or never to go exploratory heli skiing on

which is no wonder ones you do the math and realize that this is a ones in a lifetime opportunity as far as prices go. But there is more than heli skiing going on, with our ski touring and ski mountaineering trips with departures well into June, and than some great mountaineering and alpine climbing this summer. So if there ever was a time to visit Iceland, now is that
time.Otherwise things are quite "interesting" here in Niceland with the country bankrupt as it is and every child now born with an IOY sticky note on its forehead for a million dollars instead of the more classic silver spoon in the mouth. There is talk of starting to pump Prozac into the water supply but who is going to pay the drug company............... Well that is maybe a little bit exaggerated, things are actually turning back to "normal" as many people say where real values like family, friends and good times in the mountains mean more than an ever rising line on a graph.
